The Gallivan Center, this is one of those amazing places that hold great adventures for both boozy and family-friendly fun. Ice skating in the middle of the tall city buildings is nostalgic to me. It's the most romantic date night, a fun day with the kids, or in my favorite case, the perfect reason to get day drunk with the girls. The Gallivan Center is located directly in downtown Salt Lake City in between Main Street and State street. In the summer months, you'll find summer concerns, pickleball nets, and food trucks. In the winter months, you'll find an ice skating rink and beautiful Christmas lights. The rink is free for anyone to come and use. But unless you carry around your own ice skates, you can rent that inside for a small fee. If you are anything like us, your day will be filled with lots of falls and laughs and of course, beers. No, sadly you can't get any sort of alcohol at the rink. But that doesn't stop us from taking a little detour pre and post-sk
